Heart disease is the number one cause of death in the United States.  Because the healthcare system is severely flawed, many people are unable to afford medications.  Herbal medicine is available, affordable and effective.

Hawthorn, a member of the rose family (along with apples, almonds and cherries), has been used for centuries as a restorative tonic for the circulatory system.  There has been extensive research done on its effects on the heart.  When used consistently over time, one can enjoy some of the following benefits of this beloved herb:

  • Lowers blood pressure and cholesterol
  • Opens coronary arteries
  • Slows rapid heartbeat
  • Strengthens the heart muscle
  • Increases blood and oxygen flow
  • Supports the immune system

Hawthorn is especially beneficial for the aging heart, weak heart and otherwise damaged heart.  It can be used to help heal after heart surgery, and can even be used along with pharmaceutical heart medications.  However, be sure to have regular checkups, as your medication dosages will likely have to be reduced, maybe even eliminated!

Because there is no known toxicity, hawthorn can be used safely for long periods of time.  With consistent use, and a little patience, results can be seen in about six months, and will continue to improve.

Recommended dosage is a dropperful in a small amount to water three times a day for the first three months, then reduce to two times a day.

Keep in mind that not all herbs work the same (or at all) for all persons.
